New Grandson and Visit to Idaho and Nevada

We are delighted with the birth of our latest grandson, Oliver James Taylor, born the 27th of July.

In August we took a short trip out to Idaho where Mark and Tiffany and family, including Oliver, were moving .  We had a wonderful time camping with Becca and Sam and then visiting Dave and Jana and their family in Nevada.

Trip to Nevada

  We made a quick trip to Las Vegas to visit Kelli and Rod during the week of July 1 to 5.  Dave and Jana met us there as well.  It was great seeing everyone.  Hoover Dam was impressive.  We also enjoyed an aquarium and wax museum.  The weather was memorable:  115 to 120 during the day and down to about 100 degrees at night!

New Guests at Our House

Two young missionaries for our church, Elder Berg and Elder Damron have been assigned to River Falls and are staying in our home. Elder Berg is from Utah and Elder Damron is from Arizona and Montana.  We are enjoying having them in our home.  I think the Lord has special blessings for the missionaries who are working hard to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We have been working on a new flower garden in our front yard.  Here are the results so far.  We've had lots of rain and very cool temperatures - good for the flowers and grass but it doesn't feel much like summer yet.

Shae's Mission

On February 13, 2013, Shae left on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  After two weeks in the MTC in Provo, Utah, he arrived in the Oregon Eugene Mission.  So far things are going well for him.  After six weeks in Corvallis, he is now in Eugene.

Wedding of Kelli and Rod

On December 19, 2012, Kelli married Rodriqo Gonzalez in the St. Paul Minnesota Temple.  It was a wonderful, unforgettable day.
